CNN's pretty much saying that Mit Romney will be McCain's VP choice whereas Charlie Crist is in a very distant second.

Now I believe that this won't affect Massachusetts' vote where Romney was Gov. But I do believe this may hurt Obama in Michigan where Romney was born and where Obama withdrew from the primary ballot. I may be wrong. I hope I'm wrong.

What are your thoughts? Anybody else feel this way or differently?

btw, CNN has Obama's VP in an almost 3-way tie between Bayh, Clinton & Biden.

I think Romney is a JOKE- but he will get the Evangelicals to come out and vote, even though mormons are not evangelicals? Who knows- it's all one muddled ideal after awhile.
I actually haven't given much thought to McCain's VP. But Romney will also divide the Independents. So, I don't know- it may be a draw.

I also think he will pick Governor Romney. OMGGGGGGGGGG I can't stand the man. He may hurt in places like Nevada, Michigan, and places out West (which have a huge Mormon population). We have the grassroots so I seriously doubt he will beat Obama/? 2008!! :)

I am hoping he will pick Hillary as his VP. AMERICAN WOULD BE BLUE IN EVERY STATE :)

Both Romney and McCain have issues with their Conservative base. They might vote for former Republican Georgia Congressmen Bob Barr ( who is very conservative) which could tip Georgia into Obama's way.

Awhile ago it seemed like Nader is a bigger spoiler w/Nader polling at 6% and Barr at 3% in the national polls. But currently the numbers have changed whith Barr polling at 6% and Nader @ 4%. I think this is beacuse I have seen Barr in the media more so than Nader. He's also going to be on the ballot in more states and make alot more in donations. Nader is on the ballot in WA NV AZ CO NM IL SC RI HI and expected to be in UT LA TN. He's raised only $65k. Bob Barr has raised $491k and is expected to be on the ballot in at least 49 states. But I do think Barr needs more support though. McCain is ahead of Obama in Georgia by 6%.

Personally I think Obama should completely ignore McCain and hold debates with Bob Barr. This would increase Barr's presence in the election and successfully split the Republican vote between McCain & Barr. McCain could do the same thing with Nader but really, who would tune in to see a battle of the 70+ senior citizens? It'd be Snorefest '08.

Seems to me a McCain/Romney ticket would do more to hurt his chances with evangelical voters.

IMO Bayh is the clear choice. Clinton really only helps with the PUMA vote, aside from that she's a liability. Biden's alright, but he doesn't really bring another demographic to the table.

McCain/Romney I think would actually help w/the Evangelicals seeing how he's pro-life. But then he could be easily attacked as a flip-flopper alongside McCain(the ultimate flip-flopper) based on his pro-choice stance in the 90's. Same for gun control, gay rights, etc.

I do like Bayh

& Clinton but I'm not so big on Biden. I think Clinton would help Obama in Florida and be a more popular choice on the national stage but Bayh would be more helpful to solidifying Indiana as a blue state and pushing Ohio and Michigan in that direction.

Sarah Palin...Crazy choice! Well, one thing is for sure, this choice brought us closer to a win!

Of course Palin is a double edged sword with the sharp end cutting McCain the most. The Troopergate shows her abuse of power, her under age kid being pregnant shows she's a bad parent, her quote "As for that VP talk all the time, I can't answer until someone answers me. What is it exactly that a VP does every day?" shows her lack of experience, and of course only a small percentage of Americans even know who she is. The other side of the blade that cuts into Obama is quite dull. It's the PUMA/female vote aka those who don't care at all about the issues only that its a gender they're voting for.
